HackMTL 2nd Edition is the 2012 Montreal-based edition of HackDays, the one-day API programming hackathon events that take place across Canada.
For one day, teams of 1 - 3 developers work on integrating with one or more of the sponsors APIs. Judges from the local tech community judge based on awesomeness and technical difficulty, and we award fantastic prizes (First place: $1,000, Second place: $750, Third place: $500 + special API sponsor prizes; 3000$+ in total!).
We'll keep you fed and pour you a beer at the end of the day, and then the presentations and judging occur.
For the first time in HackDays history, the event will be centred around the LOCAL SOCIAL theme. Your team will have to innovate and build a kick-ass app with a local and a social twist to it.

HackMTL 2ème Édition est le 2ème événement du genre à Montréal organisé par HackDays, un groupe passionné qui planifie des compétitions de développement amicales à travers le Canada.
Pendant une journée, des équipes de développeurs et designers travailleront d'arrache-pied pour bâtir des applications utilisant les APIs de nos supporters. Des juges de la communauté techno locale évalueront le tout en fonction des prouesses techniques, de l'originalité et du facteur 'wow' des applications présentées. Nous offrirons des prix fantastiques à la fin de la compétition (1e place: $1,000, 2e place: $750, 3e place: $500 + Prix spéciaux offerts par les API sur place; plus de 3000$ au total!)
Vous serez nourris toute la journée, et nous fournissons aussi les breuvages en fin de journée, afin de vous laisser relaxer avant les présentations finales.
